Mr. Walentin Kotlarow of Eldred, NY and a long time resident of the area died Monday, January 2, 2012 at Bon Secours Community Hospital with his wife and son by his side. He was 83.
He was born March 10, 1928 in Ukraine the son of the late Peter and the late Irene Kotlarow.
Walentin married Nadia Komar 56 years ago on May 7, 1955 in New York, NY.
He was a member of St. Peter And Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Glen Spey, NY where he was the Past President and was an Altar Server.
Walentin retired from Lufthansa Airlines where he worked as a Foreman in the Cargo Division.
A family statement read: " Walentin was a good person who was very helpful to everyone and he loved his family and his church.”
Surviving are:
Wife: Nadia Kotlarow at home.
Son: Alexander Kotlarow of Long Beach, NY.
Daughter: Julia Mulherin and her husband Daniel of Odessa, FL.
2 Sisters: Luba And Halia of Ukraine.
Granddaughter:Shawna Mulherin
Grandson: Ryan Mulherin
Sister-in-law: Tamara Palylyk and her husband Stefan of Eldred, NY
Sister-in-law: Terry Christodoulou of Queens, NY

Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St. Port Jervis on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 12 Noon - 3 pm with a 3 PM Panachyda Service at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 with a Liturgy Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 329 High Road, Glen Spey, NY 12737 with V.Rev. Nestor Kowal officiating.
Burial will be at Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey, NY.
