Mrs. Helen Caroline “Nanny” Florkiewicz of Greenville Township, NY entered through the Heavenly Gates on June 30th to be reunited with her loving husband of 53 Years the late Theodore Florkiewicz for eternity. She was 78.
She was the youngest of six children born August 29, 1925 in Republic, PA the daughter of the late Albert and the late Stefania Fechek Wiecezak. She moved to Brooklyn, NY where she later met and married Theodore Florkiewicz. Together they built a house in Greenville to retire to. She was a Charter Member of Greenville VFW Memorial Post # 3175 Ladies Auxillary. Helen was a former employee of Andmore Sportswear.
Helen was a Member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Port Jervis.
A family statement read: Mom was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. She was a strong woman. She never let things keep her down. The more that was put in her way the harder she tried. She taught us to never give up. She gave us strong morals and values to live by. She will be sadly missed but will live on forever in our hearts.

Daughter Janet Gibbs & her Husband Jerry Greenville Township, NY
Sister: Julia Moger South Hackensack, NJ
11 Grandchidren: Laura, Sawyer, Garrett & Travis Cozik; Katie, Ryan, Erin & Steven Florkiewicz ;
Carla Zellmer & Her husband Bryan; Theodore Gibbs & his Fiance Sarah Decker & Gerald Gibbs & his girlfriend Erica DiMarsico
1 Great Grandson: Devin Alexander Zellmer
Also several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Her faithful companion, her cat Gurtie.
4 Predeceased Brothers: John, Stanley, Joseph and Frank Wiecezak.
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 E. Main St. Port Jervis on Friday, July 2nd from 2- 4pm & 7-9pm
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 3rd with a 9:15am Prayer at Gray-Parker Funeral Home followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
