Mr. Davis A. "Dave" Ort Yulan, NY Mr. Davis A. “Dave” Ort of Yulan, NY died Tuesday, January 18th at home. He was 56. He was born July 17, 1948 in Callicoon, NY the son of the late John and the late Ella R. Hulse Ort. He was married 28 years ago to Susan LaBarr in Narrowsburg, NY. Dave proudly served his country during the Vietnam war in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a Mechanic for Sullivan County Department of Public Works. He also worked for over 20 years at The Concord Hotel Service Station. He was a past member of the Beaver Brook Rod & Gun Club; Eldred V.F.W. Post 6427; first President and founding member of the Eldred Rod & Gun Club. He was also a member of the NRA. A family statement read: He was a good father, husband and friend who will be terribly missed by all. Surviving are: Wife: Susan LaBarr Ort At Home Son: Darrin Ort Yulan, NY Son: Brian Ort At Home, Daughter: Christina Powers & her husband Frank South Fallsburg, NY Daughter: Kimberly Ort At Home, Daughter: Lindsey Ort At Home, Brother: John Ort Bethel, NY Brother: James “Jim” Ort Ocklawaha, FL Also Several Cousins, Nieces And Nephews Predeceased by his sister Patricia Ort There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.
