Mr. Stanley J. Donovan of Glen Spey, NY a retired welder with Pan Am World Airways and 16 year resident of this area, formerly of Lynbrook, NY, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 81.
He was born March 9, 1925 in Bronx, NY the son of the late William J.and the late Ethel Sculpher Donovan.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Pond Eddy and he was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Maher Donovan at home. His 6 sons: James Donovan & his wife, Anne Marie of Belleville, ILL; Kevin Donovan & his wife, Angela of Bernardsville, NJ;
Brian Donovan & his wife, Karen of Glen Spey, NY;
Denis Donovan & his wife, Linda of Rockville Centre, NY; Kerry Donovan & his wife, Wendy of Sparta, NJ and Paul Donovan of Yarmouth, ME.
2 brothers: Robert Donovan of Kingston, NY and Joseph Donovan of Ridge, NY.
12 grandchildren: Eric, Thomas, Erin, Robert, Mark, Christopher, Liam, Matthew, Neale, Daniel, Benjamin & Grace; Also Nieces & Nephews
Friends may call at the GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis on Sunday, March 19, 2006 2: - 4: & 7: - 9:pm.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2006 with a prayer at the funeral home at 10:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Pond Eddy, NY with Rev. Anthony Moore officiating.
Cremation will be at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.
