Kathleen Adolphson, 85, of Thief River Falls, MN died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at MeritCare Northwest Campus in Thief River Falls.
Kathleen Adolphson was born on September 7, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN to Elmer and Bernice (Huseth) Adolphson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941 and the Minnesota School of Business a year later. She worked for the Federal Government in Ogden, UT and in Long Beach, CA until the end of World War II. After returning to Minneapolis she worked many years for the Aluma Craft Boat Company. Her last job was with Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls including home sewing on leather jackets.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, watching the Twin’s and quilting. She made numerous quilts for family and friends.
She is survived by 1 sister, Joyce Hillyer of Minneapolis; 2 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Viola Buoen, Helen Lund and Ann Blasius and brothers Loren, Donald, and Harold “Pinky”.
At Kathleen’s request no funeral services will be held.
