| | | Alice Anderson, 95, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at CNC Unit, Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.
Alice Mae Doran was born on February 21, 1909 in New Solum Township, Marshall County, near Anita, MN, the daughter of Peter and Matilda (Bring) Doran. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, and attended Busy Bee Country School, Holt School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls. Following High School she took Nurses Training classes.
Alice was united in marriage to George I. Anderson on April 6, 1929. She worked as Nurse’s Aide, Land O’ Lakes for 20 years and also enjoyed being a Homemaker.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, antiquing, card playing, gardening and especially spending time with her family and friends. Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years, Keenagers, Sons of Norway and the Rebeccas.
Survivors include three children: Eugene Anderson and special friend, Virgene, Margaret (Kenneth) Ose and Shirley Timm, all of Thief River Falls, MN; 11 grandchildren: Patrick (Susan) Anderson, David (Mary) Anderson, Scott (Tammy) Anderson, Michelle Evenson, Alicia (Mark) Rath, Melanie (Roy) Richardson, Kelly Jene Anderson, Vicki (Carl) Kroetsch, Kendall (Karen) Ose, Greg Ose, Teri Peterson; 21 great grandchildren: Alex Rath, Sam Rath, Conner Richardson, Ryan Richardson, Kristoffer Kroetsch, Aaron Kroetsch, Philip Kroetsch, Tia Lagerstrom, Marie Lagerstrom and Nicole Evenson; Trisha Helkenn, Lucas Anderson, Jessica Anderson, Ryne Anderson, Chase Anderson, Keri Klemmons, Bill Peterson, Kevin Ose, Kristine Ose, Cindy Cliburn and Lori Butler; 6 great-great grandchildren: Cybil Helkenn, Ein Cliburn, April Cliburn, Tia Butler, Dashon Butler and Kiara Butler; two brothers: Elmer (Grace) Doran of Greenbush, MN and Thomas (Marguerite) Doran of Brainerd, MN; sisters: Esther Miller of Thief River Falls, MN, Rosella Eckard of North Carolina, Delma (Bud) Haywood of Hammond, IN and Marcella (Wally) Eskierka of Nisswa, MN; sister-in-law, Hermia Doran of South St. MN and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friends, Ella Englund and Margaret Stokke, both of Thief River Falls, MN.
Preceded in death by her husband, George I. Anderson; daughter, Delores Anderson; her parents; brothers: George Doran, Clarence Doran, John (Ruby) Doran; sisters: Grace (Olaf) Tunheim and Pearl (Clarence) Sandberg.
