Frederick "Boy" Branson, Jr.


Frederick "Boy" Branson, Jr., a long time Wappinger resident, entered into rest May 22, 2003 at Castle Point VAMC. He was 69.

Son of the late John F. and Helen Raynack Branson, he was born June 6, 1933 in Spring Valley.

He was a 1951 Graduate of Wappingers Central High School. A member of the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and a graduate of Pace College in New York City in 1959. He retired from Local 15-D Operating Engineers in New York City.

He was a member of the Poughkeepsie Elks Club Lodge # 275, American Legion Post # 1302, Poughkeepsie, and a honorary member of the New York State Sheriffs Association.

He is survived by Harriet Marie Fernandz, his beloved domestic partner of 25 years; his loving sisters, Gail Keenan and her husband, Colin of Wappingers Falls and Jalene Yeaple her husband, Jim of Beacon; his beloved nieces and nephews and their spouses, Sabrina and Jerry Bailie, John and Wendi Keenan, Jimmy and Danielle Yeaple, Dawn and Frank Mahodil andShawn and Jennifer Keenan; his grandnephew and grandnieces whom he loved and cherished dearly, J.J. Mahodil, Aislinn and Emma Bailie, and Abigail and Noelle Keenan.

Family will receive their friends on June 15, 2003 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at St. Mark's Church, 9 Liberty Street, Chelsea. A Service will follow at 12:30 pm at the church with Rev. Jean Campbell, O.F.H. officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the family plot in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
