Clintso Armstrong, Sr.

Clintso Armstrong, Sr. a longtime area resident entered into rest, Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 94.

Son of the late Ella Armstrong, he was born May 25, 1909 in Clover, South Carolina.

He owned and operated Clintso's Cleaners in Newburgh for many years. He was a member of Moultan Memorial Baptist Church, Newburgh.

He is survived by his two sons, Clintso Armstrong, Jr. of South Ozone Park, New York and Joseph Cecil Armstrong of Richmond Hill, New York; his daughter in law, Fredricka Armstrong of Buford, South Carolina; his adopted children, Dwayne Riche and Barbara Armstrong; his grandchildren, Darrell Keith, Leila, Lorinda, Cynthia, Derrick, Fatisha, Nina, and Clintos III; eleven great-grandchildren; and a devoted cousin, Mary Ruby Sadler of Beacon. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Armstrong; his son, James Leonard Armstrong; and a grandson, Eric.

Family will receive their friends from 1 to 2 pm at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 2 pm.
