Grace C. Coughlin
Grace C. Coughlin, a longtime Beacon resident, died Tuesday. July 2, 2003 at Wingate at St. Francis, Beacon. She was 86.
Daughter of Benjamin and Anna Steffee Le Munyan, she was born in Newburgh on November 25, 1916. She married Leonard P. Coughlin on December 5, 1943 in St. Joachim’s Church. Mr. Coughlin preceded her in death on April 14, 1991.
Mrs. Coughlin was a nurse at McClelland’s Adult Home and later worked in the cafeteria at IBM, East Fishkill. She participated at Daybreak South Senior Center Wappingers Falls. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.
Mrs. Coughlin is survived by three daughters, Kathryn Challandes and her husband, James, Wilmington, DE; Linda C. Greenough and her husband, Rush, Beacon; and Beth Kendall and her husband, Joseph, Beacon; eight grandchildren, Colleen and Erin Greenough; Leonard and Laura Kendall; Jason, Jimmy, and Joyce Challandes; Jill Casey, and Janet Stephanson. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Coughlin was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and William LeMunyan, and one sister, Helen Zeyak.
Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, July, 3, 2003, at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
