| Grace R. Angelo Grace R. Angelo, a longtime Beacon resident, entered into rest Friday, August 8, 2003 at Fishkill Health Center. She was 91.
Daughter of the late Nunzio and Anna Gizzi Spacone, she was born May 7, 1912 in Shady Side, New Jersey.
On June 26, 1932 at Saint John the Evangelist Church, she married Joseph L. Angelo. Mr. Angelo preceded her in death April 1, 1994.
Grace with her husband owned Town Tavern and later Angelo's Restaurant in Beacon. She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Church, Beacon Seniors, and Beacon Boat Club. Grace had a deep love for her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid traveler, traveling the world with her husband. She loved to cook and helped her son with the restaurant into her later years.
She is survived by her children, Dolores Vitanza and her husband, Sal of Stamford, Connecticut, Marion Terralavoro of Wappingers Falls, and Joseph M. Angelo of Beacon; a sister, Ida DiPietro of Cliffside Park, New Jersey; her grandchildren, David, Steven, and Jeffrey Terralavoro all of Wappingers Falls, Debra Hedgecock and her husband, Keith of Pleasant Valley, Thomas Vitanza and his wife, Rebecca of Montgomery Village, Maryland, Michael Vitanza and his wife, Robin of Stamford, Connecticut, Peter Angelo and Damon Angelo and his wife, Lynn all of Beacon; a granddaughter in law, Michelle Vitanza-Berlingo of Stamford, Connecticut; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Dominck and Frank Spicone; her sisters, Emily Ricottilli and Agnes Quadrini; and a grandson, Timothy Vitanza.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2003 from 3-7 pm at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in the family plot of St. Joachim's Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
