| Shirley A. Campbell Shirley A. Campbell, a longtime Beacon resident, entered into rest Sunday, August 10, 2003 at her daughter's home in Doylestown, Pennsylvannia. She was 69.
Daughter of the late Leo and Veronica Lagoy Lyman, she was born August 27, 1933 in Beacon.
She was married to Patrick A. Campbell. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death December 2, 1992.
Shirley was a teaching assistant at Beacon High School, a job she loved so much, retiring in January, 2003. She was an active member of Saint Mary Mother of the Church, Fishkill. She was a CCD Teacher, a member of the Legion of Mary, the Prayer Group, and the Respect Life Committee.
Shirley will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Peggy Zoleski and her husband, Steve of Doylestown, Pennsylvannia and Trish Kaffka and her husband Mike of Huntingdonshire, England; fondly remembered by her brothers, Michael Lyman and his wife, Darlice of Tuscon Arizona, Vern Lyman and his wife, Pat of Beacon, and Don Lyman and his wife, Nieves of Winterpark, Florida; truly treasured by her seven grandchildren, Jessica, Danielle, Christine, and Michael Kaffka and Sheila, Eric, and Kevin Zoleski; and lovingly remembered by her several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, John P. Campbell and one sister, Barbara Salvas.
Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Saint Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson Street, Fishkill.
Interment will follow in Saint Joachim's Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
