Helen M. Cuchelo
Helen M. Cuchelo, a longtime resident of Beacon, entered into rest, Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Fishkill Health Center, Beacon. She was 89.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 5, 1915, she was the daughter of the late John and Madeline Martin Stetzner. On September 19, 1935, she married Edward J. Komornik, who preceded her in death on July 27, 1967. On May 22, 1977, she married Anthony J. Cuchelo, who preceded her in death on September 29, 2000.
Mrs. Cuchelo was a retired seamstress who worked for several clothing manufacturers in Beacon. She was a member of the ILGWU.
She is survived by her son, Edward J. Komornik, Jr., Beacon; her daughter, Yvonne M. Tompkins and her late husband, James, Chelsea; one sister, Dorothy Navarro, Wappingers Falls; six grandchildren, Sharilynn Tompkins, Dallas, TX.;, Rhonda Barreneche and her husband, Javier, Carmel, Tracy Tompkins Hussain and her husband, Ijaz, Uniondale, L.I., James E. Tompkins, Chelsea, and Bryan and Lindsay Komornik, Poughkeepsie; two great grandchildren, Jhonathan and Katerine Barreneche, Carmel; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2005 at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at St. Joachim’s, 61 Leonard Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Liberty Street, Beacon.
