Catherine E. Delahay, a lifelong Beacon resident, entered into rest Thursday, October 20, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. She was 92.
Born in Beacon on April 27, 1913, she was the daughter of John and Sophie Keto. She was married to John J. Delahay, who peceded her in death on February 1, 1994.
Mrs. Delahay was a nurse’s aide at the former Craig House Hospital, Beacon. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.
She is survived by two daughters, Dolores Capuani and her husband, Fred, LaGrange, and Patricia Tompkins and her husband, Bob, Niantic, CT; one brother, Edward Keto, Kalamazoo, MI; five grandchildren, Kevin and Brian Capuani, Ellen Conway, and Robert and Jeffrey Tompkins; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Delahay was predeceased by three sisters, Elizabeth Larkin, Mary Keto, and Ann McCarthy; and two brothers, Joseph and John Keto.
The family will receive their friends and relatives from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 22, at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc. 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim’s, 61 Leonard Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
