Kurt R. Grebe, a longtime Beacon resident, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at Care One of Wayne in Wayne, NJ. He was 81.

He was born in Mexico City, Mexico on December 17, 1923. He was married to the former Helen Storm. Mrs. Grebe preceded him in death on August 8, 2004.

Mr. Grebe worked as a chemical engineer at IBM, most recently at Yorktown Heights.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia M. Pender and her husband, Bruce, Coral Springs, FL; his sons Kurt R. Grebe II and his wife, Julie, Dallas, TX; and Karl I. Grebe and his wife, Heidi, Wayne, NJ; and his three grandchildren, Makayla, Holly, and Hillary.

The family will receive their friends on Saturday, December 3, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. with Rev. James H. Edgar officiating at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

Cremation will follow with interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill at a later date.
