Catherine Farley Chiappardi, a longtime Beacon resident, entered into rest Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at her home. She was 77.

Daughter of the late Thomas C. and Veronica Coyne Farley, she was born June 10, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York.

She married Francis V. Chiappardi. Mr. Chiappardi preceded her in death August 18, 2002.

Mrs. Chiappardi was a jeweler with her husband. She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.

She is survived by her children, Janet Olson of Highland, Claudia Chiappardi of Beacon, Gail Buccellato of Poughkeepsie, Frances Chiappardi of Arlington, Virginia, Vincent Chiappardi of Orange, California, Cathy Pomarico of Beacon, Lisa Chiappardi of Beacon, and Patricia Fenton of Beacon; and her nine grandchildren, Bruce Stevens, Jason Chiappardi, Anthony and Dominic Buccellato, Ashley and Nicholas Pomarico, and Victoria, Robert and Alexa Fenton.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, January 27, 2003 at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Tuesday, January 28 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Willow Street, Beacon.

Interment will follow in St. Joachim's Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
