Thomas P. Chesney, a longtime Beacon resident and formerly of Yonkers, entered into rest Saturday, April 12, 2003 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 43.

Son of Mary A. Turek Chesney and the late Edward Chesney, Sr. he was born, April 2, 1960 in Yonkers.

Tom graduated from Saunders High School, Yonkers. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a corrections officer for Westchester County Corrections at Valhalla for fifteen years.

Tom was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon and formerly a member of Most Holy Trinity Church, Yonkers. He was a member of Knight of Columbus, Trinity Council #445.

On April 29, 1989 at Most Holy Trinity Church, Yonkers he married the former Catherine DiNoia. Mrs. Chesney survives at home.

In addition to his mother, Mary A. Chesney who survives in Yonkers, he is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy DiNoia Chesney at home; his cherished children, Kristyn, Melyssa, and Rebecca Chesney at home; his brothers, Charles and Edward Chesney both of Yonkers; his sister, Janice Chaisson of Yonkers; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Chesney, Sr. in 1979.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday and Tuesday, April 14 and 15, 2003 at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Willow Street, Beacon.

Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Joachim's Cemetery, Washington Avenue, Beacon.
