Helen I. Provnick
Helen I. Provnick, a longtime Beacon resident, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 90.
Born on July 9, 1917 in Dutchess Junction, NY, she was the daughter of George and Magdalena Gustyn Provnick.
Miss Provnick was employed as a clerk at the former National Biscuit Company in Beacon. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Toennigs, Beacon, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
