Sarah Villafane
Sarah Villafane, a Beacon resident, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at Wingate at Beacon. She was 85.
Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, on November 17, 1922, she was the daughter of Dionicio and Providencia Torres Santana. She married Santiago Villafane, who preceded her in death on January 5, 2005.
She was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.
Mrs. Villafane is survived by one son, Santiago Villafane, Jr. and his wife, Alicia, Bronx, and one daughter, Sarah Lugo and her husband, Monico, Jr., Beacon, three grandchildren, Alexander, Anthony, and Monica, and three great grandchildren, Anthony, Jr., Alyssa, and Nadia.
The family will receive their friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m.on Thursday, June 19, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY.
