Lillian M. “Peg” Alyea
Lillian M. “Peg” Alyea, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. She was 91.
Born in Beacon on July 18, 1917, she was the daughter of George C. and Lillian MacAvery Alyea.
She was employed by Vogel Pharmacy, Beacon, and was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.
Miss Alyea is survived by three sisters, Marion Alyea, Beacon, Virginia Alyea, Beacon, and Ann Hussey, Lloyd Harbor, NY, two nephews, Robert and Jeffrey Hussey, and three nieces, Donna Alyea, Elizabeth Hussey White, and Nancy Hussey Schuville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William Alyea, and a sister, Maxine Alyea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, July 28, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
