Catherine Pucino
Catherine Pucino, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, with her family by her side. She was 85.
The daughter of Decio and Mary Formato Lanni, she was born in Jersey City, NJ on December 9, 1922. She moved to Beacon where she met her future husband, Orlando W. “Red” Pucino, whom she married on March 13, 1939. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1993. They had four daughters, Vi Babcock, Fishkill, Donna Sunich, Huntington Beach, CA, Tina Robinson, Fishkill, and Brenda Kimmel, Beacon; one son, Angelo Pucino, Fishkill; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Catherine was employed by the former Tuck Tape, Beacon, for twenty years and was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon. She was an avid cook, enjoyed music, and loved all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends on Monday evening, August 11, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 12, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
