Ave Marie Wolfe, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 75.

Born in Beacon on February 12, 1933, she was the daughter of John and Alice King Baumgartner. She was married to Clarence E. Wolfe, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2006.

She is survived by one son, Christopher E. Wolfe and his wife, Deborah, Beacon; one daughter, Lisa A. Miller and her husband, Al, Beacon; one brother, Jack Baumgartner and his wife, Ann, Beacon; and four grandchildren, Kristen and Allison Romanillos, and Heather and Christopher Wolfe.

The family will receive their friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 21, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.

Burial will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.

Donations in memory of Mrs. Wolfe may be made to St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, 2 Oak Street, Beacon, NY 12508-1805.
