Anna Opielinska
Anna Opielinska, a resident of Beacon since 1956, died Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 94.
She was born in Poland on May 15, 1914 and immigrated to the United States in 1956. Prior to her retirement, she was a maid at the Holiday Inn, Fishkill. She had also worked in various factories in Beacon. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church.
Mrs. Opielinska was the loving mother of Edward P. Koslowska, Wappingers Falls, and Wanda A. Koslowska, Beacon; grandmother of Edward Koslowska, Texas, and great grandmother of Elizabeth Koslowska.
The family will receive their friends on Tuesday morning, November 25, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Handicap access is via Oak Street.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
