William J. Wassweiler
William J. Wassweiler, a resident of Beacon, died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at his home in Beacon. He was 44.
Born in Cold Spring on November 30, 1964, he was the son of Gustave and Maureen Sands Wassweiler. He married Elsie Jiminez on January 23, 1993 at St. Mary’s Church, Fishkill. Mrs. Wassweiler survives at home.
Mr. Wassweiler was a master woodworker, owning Wassweiler Woodworking, Inc. in New Milford, CT. He was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, and a member of the Republican Party in Connecticut and the NRA.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, William J. Wassweiler, Jr. and Elizabeth Wassweiler, both at home in Beacon; two brothers, Joseph W. Wassweiler and his wife, Mariselis, and their children, Joseph and Christian, Beacon, and Gary W. Wassweiler and his wife, Vera A., and their children, Grayson and Gage, Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hockler and her children William and Danielle, and Beatriz Curran and her husband, Thomas, and their children, Thomas III and Katlyn; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive their friends on Tuesday, February 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
