|Anna M. Ticehurst
Anna M. Ticehurst, a six-year resident of Toms River, NJ, and formerly a longtime Beacon resident, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, with her family by her side. She was 96.
Born in Beacon on May 17, 1912, she was the daughter of John and Mary Seaman Adamsek. She married Charles E. Ticehurst, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2005. She was employed by the former Regent Coat Factory, Beacon.
Mrs. Ticehurst is survived by her sons, Charles A. Ticehurst and his wife, Carolin, Hickory, NC, and Gerald J. Ticehurst and his wife, Sandra, Lavallette, NJ; six grandchildren, Donna, Rodney, Lisa, Lawrence, Mark, and Jamie; eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard W. Ticehurst, a daughter, Audrey Storti, a brother, Alex Adamsek, and a sister, Peggy Lucas.
She was a former member of Catholic Daughters of America and the First Catholic Slovak Union. While in Beacon, she was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church.
The family will receive their friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Handicap access is via Oak Street.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Friday, February 13, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
Entombment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery Community Mausoleum, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
