Anthony R. Ferrone
Anthony R. Ferrone, a resident of Hudson for the last four years and formerly of Florida, died at his residence on Saturday, March 21, 2009. He was 86.
Born in Beacon on December 8, 1922, he was the son of Cesidio and Rose DiTomasso Ferrone. He married the former Myrtis Boice, who survives at home.
Mr. Ferrone graduated from Ithaca College and was a US Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He retired from IBM, Poughkeepsie, where he was a purchasing agent.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Everett Baker, Tampa, FL; a stepdaughter, Marla Lennon, Hudson; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Nicholas and Joseph N. Ferrone, and a sister, Mary Schultz.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
