Sarah J. Solicito
Sarah J. Solicito, a resident of Newburgh and formerly of Beacon, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center, Newburgh. She was 39.
Born in Beacon on April 11, 1969, she was the daughter of Philip G. and Marie Caruso Asper. On August 19, 1994, she married Peter S. Solicito, who survives at home in Newburgh. She was a secretary at J. T. Abstract in Newburgh, and a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.
In addition to her mother, Marie Asper, Beacon, and her husband, Peter Solicito, Newburgh, she is survived by her sons, Christopher and Andrew, at home; her brother, Jason Asper, Modena; her sister, Terri Sickler, Poughkeepsie; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Solicito was predeceased by her father, Philip Asper, her brother, Philip Asper III, and her sister, Anna Marie Asper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Solicito may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
