Frances Marie Radford, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Victory Lake Nursing Home, Hyde Park. She was 84.

She was born in Chicago, IL on October 31, 1924 to Melvin and Nora Kelliher Folkes. She married George Allen Radford in 1945 in Beacon. He predeceased her in 1995. Mrs. Radford was employed by Bobrich and Beacon Looms and retired from the Highland/St. Francis Hospital, Beacon, in 1994. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Nora McKeown, Kirkland, WA, and Darleen Cronk, Fishkill; her son, Dennis Radford, Beacon; her sisters, Mary Ritchey and Katherine Baird, both of Twist, WA; grandchildren, Tabitha Cannon, Lee Radford, Katrina LaLonde, Evelyn Smith, and Mac McKeown; great grandchildren, Francis Cannon, Sean Cannon, Isabella Radford, Shelby LaLonde, and Madeline and Lyla Smith.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, May 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.

Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
