Maryann Davis
Maryann Davis of Beacon died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Wingate at Beacon in the company of her family. The daughter of Frederick Antalek and Nellie Gallagher Antalek Davis, she was born at Highland Hospital in Beacon on December 4, 1934. She was married to Michael Davis, who preceded her in death.
She was employed by Antalek Insurance for over thirty years. She will always be remembered for her sweet, kind, and gentle ways.
She leaves behind her brother, Fred Antalek, her sons, Michael and his wife, Anne, Timothy and his wife, Terriann, Daniel, daughter, Mary Ellen Scofield and her husband, Kevin, sons, Kevin and his wife, Karen, and Terry and his wife, Andrea; and a daughter-in-law, Sylvia. She was predeceased by a son, Shawn Davis.
She also leaves behind the true loves of her life: her grandchildren, Aiden, Avery Sean, Kyle, Kevin, Kathleen, Shawn, Stacy, Timmy, Falon, Ashley, Meghan and her fiancé, Tyler, Jason and his wife, Erica, Jenna, Brian, and Matt and his wife, Tatiana. This past year, she was blessed with two great grandchildren, Kieran and Tyler. She is also survived by her nieces, Susan and Sarah, nephews, Derf and Gus, as well as their children who were dear to her heart.
The family will receive their friends on Monday, May 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Handicap access is via Oak Street.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at St. Joachim’s Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
The family wishes to thank Wingate and Hospice of Dutchess County for the wonderful care and compassion shown by them.
