Josephine M. Pelish, a longtime Beacon resident, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Wingate at Beacon. She was 86.

Born on June 18, 1922, she was the daughter of John and Martha Krevokan Pelish. She was educated in the Poughkeepsie Schools. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the St. Joachim-St. John’s Women’s Parish Club and its Ladies Arts and Crafts Group and the East Fishkill Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her niece, Marie Fitzpatrick, Fishkill. Miss Pelish was predeceased by her brother, Richard Pelish, and her sister, Ann Doyle.

The family will receive their friends on Friday morning, June 12, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim’s, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.

Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Old Cemetery, Depuyster Avenue, Beacon.
