Stephen F. Mandigo, Jr., a lifelong Beacon resident died Friday, June 19, 2009, at St. Luke’s-Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He was 47.

Born in Beacon on April 21, 1962, he was the son of Stephen F. and Nina Murphy Mandigo. He married the former Bonnie-Lee Rozner on October 18, 1981. She survives at home in Beacon. Mr. Mandigo was employed by Witco, Beacon, for the last twenty-eight years. He especially loved to work on cars and was especially known for his sense of humor.

In addition to his mother, Nina Mandigo, Wappingers Falls, and his wife, Bonnie-Lee Rozner; Beacon, he is survived by his daughters, Jessica and Jennifer Mandigo, both of Beacon; his brother, Arthur Mandigo, Beacon; his sister, Nina Mandigo, Beacon; and his grandson, Logan Decker.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday, June 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Handicap access to the funeral home is via Oak Street.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
