Robert E. Constable
Robert E. Constable, a longtime Beacon area resident, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at New York State Veterans Home of Montrose, Montrose, NY. He was 65.
Born in Cold Spring on July 24, 1943, he was the son of William L. and Elizabeth H. Ryan Constable. He was a retired lineman for Central Hudson, Fishkill. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Viet Nam era. He was inducted into the Dutchess County Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame.
Mr. Constable is survived by his son, Todd Constable, Manhattan; his daughter, Paige Constable, Hopewell Junction; his brother, William Constable, Clearwater, FL; his two sisters, Betty Montegari, Beacon, and Eleanora R. Burke and her, husband, David L., Beacon; a granddaughter, Dylan Rose Constable; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas J. Constable.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the New York State Veterans Home of Montrose and especially the Eagle Point Section.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted on Friday, July 24, at 1 p.m. at St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
