John F. Sullivan, a lifelong Beacon area resident, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He was 46.

Born in Beacon on September 27, 1962, he was the son of Gerald C. and Margaret A. Keenan Sullivan. He married the former Helen M. Seabolt on September 14, 1991 in Cold Spring. Mrs. Sullivan survives at home.

Mr. Sullivan was employed as a telephone technician. He was a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church and a member and past Grand Knight of Trinity Council, Knights of Columbus, Beacon.

In addition to his mother, Margaret Sullivan, Beacon, and his wife, Helen Sullivan, at home, he is survived by his son, Kyle Sullivan, and his daughter, Kelsey Sullivan, and three brothers, Jerry Sullivan, Beacon, Patrick Sullivan and his wife, Janice, Newburgh, and Timothy Sullivan and his wife, Elizabeth, Beacon, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas B. Sullivan.

The family will receive their friends on Friday, July 31, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. Members of Trinity Council, Knights of Columbus will meet for services at 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.
