Jack McNaughton, a longtime resident of Wappingers Falls, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. He was 79.

Born in Newburgh on October 10, 1930, he was the son of Thomas and Ivy Halsted McNaughton. He married the former Josephine Angelo, Newburgh. He He retired as a supervisor for Chemprene, Beacon. Mr. McNaughton was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Victor Barrone Post, Wappingers Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine McNaughton, his four sons, Thomas and his wife, Emily, Los Alamos, NM, James and his wife, Toni, South Lake, TX, Jack and his wife, Donna, New Milford, NJ, and Kevin, Beacon; his sister, Barbara Liebsch and her husband, Orville, Milwaukee, WI; and seven grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Patrick, Katie, Maggie, Shannon, and Kelly; and his loving companion, Helen E. Rozner, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, April 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 8, at 10 a.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Veterans Plot of St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
