James G. Sgro
James G. Sgro, a one-year resident of Vero Beach, FL and former longtime Dutchess Junction resident, died at home in Vero Beach on June 8, 2010. He was 51.
Born on April 23, 1959 in Cold Spring, NY, he was the son of Frank J. and Esther Angelo Sgro. He graduated from Beacon High School and attended Dutchess Community College. Mr. Sgro retired in 2007 as a Correction Officer at Downstate Correctional Facility, Fishkill.
In addition to his father, Frank J. Sgro and his fiancée, Ann Garrison, Wappinger Falls, James is survived by his his uncles, Parge Sgro and his wife, Lou, Cold Spring, and Salvatore Sgro, Glenham, and numerous cousins. He is predeceased by his mother, Esther Sgro, his brother, Frank Sgro, and aunts, Helen Sgro and Concetta “Tina” Monaco.

The family will receive their friends on Friday, June 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
Burial will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.
