Richard D. Malouf
Richard D. Malouf, a lifelong Beacon area resident, died Friday, November 19, 2010, at Wingate at Beacon. He was 76.
Born in Beacon on January 24, 1934, he was the son of Richard W. and Ruth Cable Malouf. He married the former Josephine DiPerno, who survives at home.
Mr. Malouf retired as a licensed plumber and maintenance supervisor at Fishkill Correctional Facility. He was a Life Member of Beacon Engine Co., one of the original members of Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and a parishioner of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church. He enjoyed furniture making and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Malouf is survived by his son, Richard Malouf, Glenham; three daughters, Jo-Marie VanBuren, Glenham, Donna Trappe and her husband, Richard, Beacon, and Debbie Wolfe and her husband, Christopher, Beacon; his brother, Robert Malouf and his wife, Patricia, Sterling, CT, and his sister, Rosalie Nichols, Beacon; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Malouf, Jason VanBuren and his wife, Lauren, Bradley VanBuren, Lauren Laurelli, Heather Wolfe, Richard Trappe, Christopher Wolfe, and Andrea Malouf; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends on Monday, November 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim’s, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Interment will follow in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
