Marie J. Floyd
Marie J. Floyd, a resident of Beacon, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Elant at Fishkill. She was 91.
Born in Brooklyn on June 9, 1919, she was the daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth Newton DeLahoyde. She married James Floyd, who predeceased her in 1969. Marie retired as a Senior Administrator at IBM in Poughkeepsie. She was a parishioner of St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church.
She is survived by her close friends, Jaye and Cyrus Vaughn of Beacon.
Friends may call on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc, 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 10 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
Burial will follow in St. Joachim Cemetery, 303 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
Memorial Donations in memory of Marie may be made to St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church, 2 Oak Street, Beacon, New York 12508.
Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Peter T. and Patrick J. Halvey.
