Pauline A. Trochan
Pauline A. Trochan, a lifelong Beacon resident, passed away at Elant at Fishkill on January 10, 2012. She was 92.
Born in Beacon on May 28, 1919 Pauline was the daughter of Adam and Sophie Stupensky Slinsky. Pauline married John A. Trochan on August 7, 1938. Mr. Trochan predeceased Pauline in 1971. Pauline was a parishioner of St. Joachim – St. John the Evangelist Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Liberatta and a member of the St. John’s Seniors.
Pauline is survived by her granddaughters, Rose Marie Varas and her husband, Patrick of Beacon and Susan Craig and her husband Colin of Fanwood, New Jersey; her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Amanda and James Varas and Colleen, Rachael and Colin Craig.
In addition to her husband, Pauline was predeceased by her son, George Trochan and her twelve brothers and sisters
The family will receive their friends on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, 301 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
Pauline’s family would like to thank the staff of South 1 at Elant at Fishkill for their compassion and care of Pauline over the years.
