Rosemarie Podloski, a lifelong Beacon resident, passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie on Sunday, February 5, 2012. She was 71.

Born in Beacon on May 16, 1940 she was the daughter of Nicholas and Nancy Veneziale Ferrone . Rosemarie was a secretary and had retired from the United States Military Academy, West Point. Rosemarie married George Podloski. Mr. Podloski survives at home. She was an active member of St. Joachim-St. John the Evangelist Church, Beacon.

In addition to her husband, Rosemarie is survived by her sons, Peter of Beacon and Anthony and his wife, Beth of Las Vegas; her grandchildren, Connor, Danica and Erica Podloski; her sister, Carol McGovern and her husband, Paul of Beacon; her nephew, Nicholas McGovern.

The family will receive their friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, February 9 at 10:00 a.m.at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.

Burial will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, 301 Washington Avenue, Beacon.

Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Peter T. and Patrick J. Halvey.
