|Tammie A. Garofalo
Tammie A. Garofalo, a longtime area resident, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 1, 2012. She was 45 and “forever young.”
Tammie was born in Plattsburgh on December 27, 1966. She married Joseph E. Garofalo. Mr. Garofalo survives at home.
In addition to her husband, Tammie is survived by her son, Joseph Garofalo; her mother, Sandra Breen of Plattsburgh; her step-father, Neil Breen of Florida; her sisters, Heidi Fordham and her three children, Erin and Gary Garrison and their three children, and Kimberli and Antonio Breen and their son; her Aunt Donna and Uncle Al Austin of Plattsburgh and Aunt Edna and Uncle Dick Facteau of Syracuse and cousins.
Tammie was an avid sports fan. She loved the Yankees and Gaints and especially horse racing. Tammie believed that “money won was twice as sweet as money earned.”
The family will receive their friends on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Peter T. and Patrick J. Halvey.
