Marie H. Farrell
Formerly of Tonawanda
Marie (nee Hartman) Farrell, age 98, died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Anne (nee Johnson) Hartman and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. Mrs. Farrell had worked in the office at Buffalo Forge before retiring. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Farrell, who died in 1981, and mother of the late Thomas E. Farrell Jr., who died in 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Anne (Marvin) Heft of North Tonawanda, and Margaret Steckel of Billings, Montana; and her daughter-in-law, Louanne Farrell of North Tonawanda. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Today (Friday) and 10 AM- Noon Saturday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda; the Rev. Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. Entombment will be cared for privately at Resurrection Mausoleum at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
