Herbert W. Pinkert Herbert W. Pinkert, age 60, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Amherst, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late William and Annie (nee Flemming) Pinkert and was employed at Niagara Candy in Cheektowaga. He was the husband of the late Lynne (nee Clark) Pinkert, who died in 1992, and brother of the late James Pinkert. He is survived by his son, Herbert Pinkert, Jr. of North Tonawanda; his daughter, Jennifer (James McDowell) Pinkert of Tonawanda; his step-mother, Ilse Pinkert of Amherst; a sister, Muriel (Joe) Licata of Batavia; and two brothers, William Pinkert of Rochester and Daniel Pinkert of Tonawanda. Also surviving are a step-brother, Kurt Schirmer of Amherst; a step-sister, Renate (Sal) Licata of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-6 PM on Friday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where services will be held at 6 PM Friday. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton.
