Dorothy A. MacDonald Dorothy A. MacDonald, age 79, of the Town of Niagara, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ursula (nee Burngasser) MacDonald and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. She is survived by her sister, Mary Kovacs of Niagara Falls, New York; and three brothers, Walter (Iantae) MacDonald, Jr. of North Tonawanda, New York, Thomas (Norma) MacDonald of Sincalairville, New York, and Michael (Elaine) MacDonald of the Town of Tonawanda, New York. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were cared for privately with her family, followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the Town of Tonawanda. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets in Tonawanda.
