Thomas Krowka

Veteran was member of OLC Parish

Thomas Krowka, age 79, of North Tonawanda, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Helen (nee Siebielec) and Thomas Krowka, Sr. and had been a resident of North Tonawanda for more than 38 years. An Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, he worked for Brown Security in Buffalo before retiring in 2007. Mr. Krowka was a member of OLC Parish, the Niagara Polish Culture Society and the Disabled American Veterans. He was the husband of the late Irene (nee Burnett) Krowka, who died NOvember 8, 2003, and father of the late Lisa M. Krowka, who died October 8, 2001.

He is survived by his son, Kevin (Helen) Krowka of North Tonawanda; two grandchildren, Crystal and John Donovan; and a great-grandson, Logan Donovan. Also surviving are his sister, Pauline Dygdon of North Tonawanda, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Oliver St. at Center Ave. in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
