John W. Kowsky


John W. Kowsky Navy Veteran John W. Kowsky, age 63, of Tonawanda, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at his residence, after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late John W. Kowsky and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. A Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a truck driver for GAM Trucking Company in North Tonawanda, before becoming ill. He is survived by his son, William J. Kowsky of Byron, New York; two daughters, Donna M. Kowsky of Byron, New York, and Cynthia (Jeremy) Bisig of Corfu, New York; his mother, Vivian Nowark of Tonawanda, New York; and two brothers, Steve Nowark of Tonawanda, New York, and David (Mary) Nowark of Lancaster, New York. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Casey, Dylan and Kristi; and several nieces and nephews and many friends. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets in Tonawanda.
