Barbara C. Dinsmore Retired from Columbus McKinnon Barbara C. Dinsmore, age 81, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Dansville, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Florence Dinsmore and a lifelong resident of the Tonawanda area. Ms. Dinsmore was a supervisor at Columbus McKinnon Company in Tonawanda for 45 years, until retiring in 1987, and was a member of The Chapel at Cross Point since 1966. She was the sister of the late Margaret McClintock. She is survived by her sister, Judy (Ronald) Daggett of Aiken, South Carolina; and her niece and Godchild, Katherine Daggett of Albany, New York. Also surviving are many other brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends may call from 10 AM - 12 Noon today (Tuesday) at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday; the Rev. K.E.G. Derushia officiating. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Cold Spring Cemetery in the Town of Lockport. If desired, memorials to The Chapel at CrossPoint, 500 CrossPoint Parkway, Getzville, NY 14068, are preferred by the family.
