Earl W. Bostwick City of Tonawanda Postman Earl W.Bostwick, age 83, of Tonawanda, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home in Lewiston, after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late William and Emma (nee Hilberg) Bostwick. Earl was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in the Air Force following the war. A member of Salem United Church of Christ in Tonawanda, he was a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Tonawanda before retiring. He was the husband of the late Joyce B. Bostwick, who died October 7, 2005. He is survived by his loving children, Kenneth Bostwick of North Tonawanda, Moira (Gary) Henderson of Niagara Falls, and Ella (Keith) Furman of Getzville; and three dear grandsons, Adam Dallmann, Ian Henderson and Connor Henderson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Friends may call after 10 AM on Thursday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in Akron. If desired, memorials to the WNY Alzheimer's Association, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221, are preferred by the family.
