John Albert Matiacio John Albert Matiacio, age 79, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009, under the care of Hospice in Jacksonville. Born in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rose (nee Pollutro) Matiacio. A member of the Catholic faith, he had worked as a home remodeler. Mr. Matacio enjoyed woodworking and home repair. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Matiacio; his sons, Thomas A. (Elizabeth) Matiacio and James A. Matiacio; a brother, George Matiacio; a sister, Dolores Kim; and four grandchildren. There is no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Saturday at St. Amelia R.C. Church on Eggert Road in the Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257 are preferred. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Tonawanda.
