Anne L. Pettapiece
Anne (nee Hauser) Pettapiece, age 86, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Oakwood Health Care Center in Amherst, after a lont illness. Born in Eschelbach, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Susanna (nee Landes) Hauser, and had been a resident of the Town of Tonawanda for more than 35 years. Mrs. Pettapiece had worked as a waitress at Hengerer's Department Store in Buffalo, before retiring. She was the wife of the late Layton "Red" Pettapiece, who died October 12, 1991.
She is survived by her two sons, George (Maureen) Pettapiece of Amherst, and Alan (Lynn) Pettapiece of the Town of Tonawanda; and six grandchildren, Christine Pettapiece, Jennifer Pettapiece, Timothy Pettapiece, Michael Pettapiece, Amy (Pedro) Martinez, and Julie (David) Weston. Also surviving are a great-granddaughter, Adaline Martinez, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 8 PM Friday. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 6430 Transit Road, Suite 200, Depew, NY 14043, are preferred by the family.
