Mrs. Lanora M. Brown

Special Services:
Funeral services took place Wednesday February 4th, 2009 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. Lanora was laid to rest at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor Ron Stier delivered the funeral message, and the committal prayers at the Cemetery.

Lanora passed from our world into God's Kingdom early Saturday January 31, 2009 at her Millington residence, Lonara was 87.

Lanora M. Smith born in Forest Twp. on January 7, 1922 was the daughter of Walter & Libbie (Cook) Smith. Lanora has been an area resident her entire life. On January 14, 1939 Lanora married Lowell (Punk) Brown, she and Punk celebrated 65 years of marriage before Punk passed away in January of 2004. Lanora leaves her family; two daughters and a son in-law; Shirley Mays, and Sharon & Mike Coward. Nineteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and daughter in-law Mrs. Nancy Brown. Lanora leaves also other extended family and friends. In addition to her husband Lanora is also preceded in death by; two sons Jerry and Raymond Brown, grandson Justin, son in-law Joe Mays, and three sisters; Hilda Rowe-Benke, Ernestine Kern-Evans, and Thelma Sebert.
Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the Lutheran Hospice of Hope. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Brown family with the arrangements.
