Mrs. Wilma Irene (Sherman) Jackson | Special Services:
Funeral services were held on Saturday March 7, 2009 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. She was laid to rest at the Newton Cemetery in Arbela Twp. Pastor James Wertz delivered the funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery.

| | | Irene passed away late Tuesday evening March 3, 2009 while at the Grand Blanc Rehab Nursing Center in Grand Blanc MI, Irene was 81.
Wilma Irene Hunt the daughter of Clarence & Elizabeth (Ayliffe) Hunt was born on February 7, 1928 in Arbela Twp. Irene has been a Arbela Twp and Millington area resident her entire life. She married a young man by the name of Elton Sherman, Elton has preceded her in death. On February 14, 1990 Irene married Mr. Paul Jackson and she and Paul have celebrated 19 years together. Irene leaves her husband Paul, two daughters and a son in-law; Angela & Duane Noyce, and Beverly Howell. Nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Two daughters in-law Dawn & Mary Sherman, Three brothers and two sisters in-law; Charles & Evelyn Hunt, George & Alice Hunt, and Ivan Hunt. Three sisters and their husbands; Celia & Burton Sebert, Ruth & Ron Smith, and Mildred & Francis Torrey. Irene leaves also several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Besides her first husband Irene is also preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Steve, and Gary Sherman, a brother Gerald Hunt, a son in law Kenneth Howell and her parents. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to the American Heart Association. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the family with the arrangements.
